Overview
2711P-RDT15C is a 15-inch touch screen of the PanelView Plus series. It is equipped with a 15-inch TFT color LCD screen with a resolution of 1024×768 pixels, supports 18-bit color graphics display, and a screen brightness of 300cd/m². The brightness and contrast can also be adjusted manually. It uses an analog resistive touch screen and can work under a driving force of 10-110 grams. The communication interface covers Ethernet, RS- 232 and USB, which can flexibly realize data interaction with other industrial equipment; the front panel protection level reaches IP65, which is suitable for harsh industrial environments such as dust and moisture. The installation opening size is 305mm×391mm.

FAQ:
1.The CCFL backlight lifespan of the 2711P-RDT15C is 50,000 hours. Can the backlight assembly be replaced individually after the lifespan is reached, or does the entire display module need to be replaced?
2.When the 2711P-RDT15C communicates with a ControlLogix controller, can redundant communication be achieved via RS-232 in addition to Ethernet?
The 2711P-RDT15C cannot communicate redundantly over RS-232 when communicating with a ControlLogix controller:
- RS-232 is a point-to-point serial protocol without hardware/protocol support for redundant links and can only be used for basic data transmission of small flows.
- ControlLogix redundant communication relies on EtherNet/IP or ControlNet with dedicated redundant components such as 1756-SRM.
- FactoryTalk View software only supports configuring redundant links over Ethernet and has no options related to RS-232 redundancy.
3. 2711P-RDT15C has been discontinued. What is the direct replacement model? What hardware installation and software configuration parameters need to be modified when replacing?

Hardware installation:
- The installation dimensions are basically matched, and the screw hole positions/buckles need to be fine-tuned; compact or replace the sealing gasket to ensure IP65 protection.
