The detection distance of FD-42G can be adjusted indirectly. It does not have a direct adjustment knob. It needs to be matched with an adapted controller and lens to achieve distance adjustment.
2.What is the operating temperature range of the FD-42G diffuse reflection fiber optic sensor ?
The Panasonic FD-42G diffuse reflection fiber optic sensor has two relevant temperature range parameters:
- Rated operating temperature range: -55°C to +80°C, which is the extreme temperature range that the sensor itself can withstand. It defines its tolerance boundary in extreme temperature environments and ensures that components such as the core optical fiber of the sensor will not be damaged due to too high or too low temperatures.
- Allowed normal use temperature range: -40°C to +70°C. This is the normal working temperature range that is more suitable for the sensor to perform stably. When used within this range, the sensor’s detection accuracy, signal stability and other performances can be better guaranteed, and it is suitable for the temperature conditions of most industrial conventional operating environments.
3.What is the operating voltage of the FD-42G diffuse reflection fiber optic sensor?
As a simple diffuse reflection optical fiber probe, Panasonic FD-42G does not contain power supply-related components and has no independent operating voltage parameters. Its operating voltage is determined by the adapted controller. This sensor is commonly used with the Panasonic FX-500 series controller.
The operating voltage specification of the FX-500 series controller is 12-24V DC, while allowing a voltage fluctuation range of +10%/-15%, and requiring the power supply ripple peak value to be controlled within 10%. This wide voltage adaptation design is very suitable for industrial scenarios and is compatible with common 12V and 24V DC power supply systems in factories, reducing the trouble of additional adapter power supplies due to mismatched power supply specifications.
