Overview
KFD2-STC5-Ex1.2O is a power isolation safety barrier that provides intrinsically safe power for 2-wire/3-wire SMART transmitters and 2-wire SMART current sources in hazardous areas. It isolates and converts the 4-20mA analog input signal in the hazardous area into two independent 4-20mA output signals for transmission to the safe area.

KFD2-STC5-Ex1.2O supports HART communication and provides complete HART transparent transmission function:
- Protocol compatibility: supports HART, BRAIN and Foxboro SMART protocols simultaneously
- Integrated test point: A dedicated test socket for HART communicator is integrated on the terminal, allowing HART devices to be connected for debugging and diagnosis without breaking the loop.
- Signal transmission: HART digital signal can be superimposed on the 4-20mA analog signal for bidirectional transmission between hazardous areas and safe areas
- Resistor configuration: If the HART communication resistance in the control loop is too low, you can use the 250Ω resistor provided by the device to ensure normal communication.
